Album Contest

15 01 2010

Close to My Heart is having an album contest for Consultants and it have had me so busy planning. I can’t post anything about it or about my design until after the contest is over. I wish I could get input on it. Oh well.

Anyhow, check out this blog and you could win a beautiful paper pack and stamp set for National Papercrafting Month

I made this envelope with hand cut paper snowflakes.  Wonder who will find it in their mail box next week…hm…

Creative Every Day

7 12 2009

I found this blog (or rather I re-found it) about doing something creative everyday. Odd isn’t it that I just this week started to create something each day? I have been doing pages of approximately 8×12 I think, on folders and large envelopes, and I have been using up my scraps and things. Wouldn’t you know it…the December theme is recycling. *twilight zone music* So here are my pages so far:

30th birthday

16 11 2009

yesterday was my 30th birthday.  crazy!  My best friend Dave came to town from Pittsburgh. Thank you Dave.  Seeing you was the highlight.  Particularly seeing you with Rebekah.  She adored you, Bob.

I had my best-friends for a luncheon of crepes, grapefruit mimosas, and strawberries with vanilla pudding.  Yum.  Thanks for your help Melissa.

Gingerbread

11 11 2009

[almost] every year my mom does a gingerbread house for the Sweet Creations event at the George Eastman house.  This is a fundraiser for the museum.  All of the gingerbread creations are auctioned off.  This year Timothy helped for the first time.  They made an old fashioned horse drawn pumper truck.

Halloween 2009

31 10 2009

Timothy has always prefered to not dress up for Halloween.  Easier for me I think.

No making or buying costumes.  No going door to door for tons of candy.

Rebekah didn’t really dress up either.  She just wore a witch hat part of the time.

We went to Grandma Lynn and Brad’s house and to Grandma Dorothy’s house and

to church for the Harvest Festival where the kids got to play games and get a little candy.

Rebekah’s 2

23 10 2009

We had family and friends over for Rebekah’s 2nd birthday.  Kelly and I got her a doll stroller because she loves Joey’s so much.  Here she is opening it.

We had a Pocoyo ice cream cake that I made.  Also Kelly’s friend got us Pocoyo plates, cups, and napkins from Spain for the party.  Thanks John and Sonja.

over the river and through the woods…

8 08 2009

…to grandmother’s house we go.  or went.  Earlier this week.  Shannon stayed with us to play with the kids.  She was great!  She brought bubbles, water balloons, coloring books, new crayons for Timothy, games, little animal toys to play with, she took the kids to the park, swam with one while I swam with the other, watched movies…I love you cuz!

Grandma and poppop took us to Sizerville Park to swim, play on the playground, and have a picnic lunch.

We played with Uncle Duffy’s dog too.
